November? Where did October go?

Whew! I'm worn out. It's already November 6 and I can't figure out where October went. During this past five weeks Roger and I have enjoyed dinner out with friends, trunk or treating for the first time ever, surplus candy after Halloween (usually it's all gone and we have to close up shop), shopping and lunch in Milwaukee, showing off our newly decorated home to family and friends (Heidi and Eric and Chrissy and Jeff are in for a big surprise), shopping and lunch with granddaughters from Kewaskum, snarfing up donuts at a wonderful bakery we discovered in Sheboygan, making sauerkraut that stinks up the whole house, snarfing up more donuts with daughter and granddaughter, talking on the phone to all the kids and grandchildren, and actually shopping in stores for Christmas (as opposed to the Internet as in the past two years). Hmm, I see where the time went.

The Halloween decorations are down, and I'm beginning to get a few things up to signal the start of the Christmas season. Let the decorating begin!!!!!

  2. The kids are wearing me down. The day after Halloween they (along with their helpful sidekick, Eric) started blasting the Christmas tunes. They've already put up the nightlights from you (which they all LOVE!!), and it looks like more decorations will have to go up soon. I've got Christmasaholics living here!
